My Story

I’m Johanna, and ever since I could hold a pencil, I’ve been creating art! I’m also an avid volunteer with dog rescues, and love giving back to pups in need of a fresh start.

Creativity and giving back have always been my “thing”. I majored in Fine Art and spent many years as an art teacher before making a major life change. I started GLOW for a cause, a give-back skincare company, with the idea that skincare products could not only be great for the body, but great for the soul by giving back to non-profits including dog rescues. GLOW is still my passion project, and now I’m excited to share my other passion…painting dogs!

Every dog has a story, and every dog parent has a unique bond with them. I love incorporating their stories into my paintings, and capturing their souls in every brushstroke. I paint from the heart, and pour a ton of love into each painting.

Giving back makes an enormous difference in rescue. Every painting helps give back to a rescue pup in need with items from their wish lists, auction pieces, or important medical care.

My Inspiration

I’ve been owned by 11 beautiful souls, and 4 are still here with me. All of my babies have made a permanent impression on my heart. Every brushstroke is painted with love in honor of Oscar, Maynard, Rollie, Daisy, Canelo, Kenny Girl, and Raz…and under the watchful eyes of Kimber, Clark, Lenny, and Romeo (in his forever home).
